Attorney Blake Hanson to Receive Young Alumni Award

Shareholder Attorney Blake Hanson will receive the Young Alumni Award at ISU’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Honor and Awards Ceremony on October 1. Held each fall during Homecoming week, the awards honor outstanding alumni and friends of the college. Blake, who graduated in 2012 from ISU summa cum laude with a degree in political science, will be presented the award for excellence in his profession and service to his community.
As an undergraduate student, Blake helped establish Iowa State’s Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity chapter and later went on to attend Drake University Law School. In his professional career, he has also served on the advisory board for the Carrie Chapman Catt Center’s Ready to Run program, the Iowa State Honors Program Alumni Board, and transportation safety initiatives in the Des Moines community.
