Elena Pinnow Joins Dickinson Bradshaw

We’re pleased to announce that Elena Pinnow has joined Dickinson, Bradshaw, Fowler & Hagen, P.C. as an Associate Attorney.

Elena’s diverse practice at the firm will focus on assisting clients in the areas of Employment and Labor Law, Family Law, and Bankruptcy, Corporate Restructuring, and Creditors' Rights Law.

Elena grew up in Denver, Colorado, and attended Luther College in northeast Iowa where she obtained a B.A. in political science in 2021. She then attended Drake University Law School where she earned her Juris Doctorate degree in 2025.

“My time in the state gave me an appreciation for its people and its strong sense of community, which led me to make Des Moines my home,” she said.

Elena enjoys working closely with people and brings a warm, approachable style to her professional life. She values clear communication and taking the time to build comfortable, genuine relationships with clients and colleagues – often with a cup of coffee nearby.

“I’m excited to help my clients find the right solutions for their legal challenges,” she added.

While completing her legal education, Elena served as a Summer Associate at Dickinson Bradshaw in 2024, a Note Editor at the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law from 2024-2025, and an editorial staff member from 2023-2024. She also gained valuable experience as a summer intern at the Battered Women’s Justice Project and volunteered as a student attorney in the Entrepreneurial and Transactional Clinic at Drake Law.

Outside of the office, Elena enjoys playing pickleball, catching Iowa Cubs games, and watching Caitlin Clark shoot from the logo. She also enjoys exploring Des Moines’ food scene, perfecting her banana bread recipe, and getting back to the Driftless Area to explore the great outdoors whenever she can.
