Dickinson Bradshaw Wins Healthcare/Life Sciences Deal of the Year Award

Dickinson Bradshaw restructuring and bankruptcy attorneys Jeffrey D. Goetz and Brennan B. Eddie have been honored with an award by The M&A Advisor for their work in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring of Tabor Manor Care Center.

Goetz will receive the prestigious award on behalf of the firm at the 19^th Annual Turnaround Awards ceremony on March 25 in Palm Beach, Florida.

Goetz and Eddie served as Debtor’s counsel to secure the restructuring deal for the 46-bed rural Iowa nursing home to emerge from bankruptcy; saving more than 50 jobs, and allowing the facility to continue to provide the surrounding community and its residents with full-time care solutions.

The award was selected from hundreds of entries, and nominees were evaluated by an independent panel of judges in the restructuring, financing, and M&A arena.

This is the sixth M&A Advisor award for Goetz; he was previously honored at the Annual Turnaround Awards in 2014, 2018, 2019, and 2024. He also received an Annual M&A Advisor Award in 2018.

The success of the restructuring deal is linked to professionals that Goetz and Eddie partnered with throughout the process, including Ron Winters and Tyler Brasher of Gibbins Advisors (Debtor’s financial advisors), Deborah L. Petersen of Petersen Law (secured creditor/bank counsel), Jeanne Goche of Solutions in Health Care Management (patient care ombudsman) and Robert C. Gainer of Cutler Law Firm (subchapter V trustee).
