At Dickinson Bradshaw, we believe that giving back helps transform lives and ultimately makes our community stronger. One of our core beliefs is helping others by investing in where we live, work, and raise our families. And, while we provide valuable legal services to companies and individuals, we don’t just stop there.

An Integrated Approach

Each year, our firm partners with several charitable organizations to provide them directly with crucial financial contributions. Then, we take it one step further by coming together to provide these organizations with ideas, support and volunteers to help them foster innovation and create lasting, positive changes right here in Iowa.

How do we do this?  

• Many of our attorneys and staff roll up their sleeves by volunteering to sit on boards and committees for human service agencies and other community organizations, providing countless hours of service on a regular basis.

• Annually, we sponsor several charitable events throughout the community, helping drive financial contributions for noteworthy causes as well as funding for a variety of scholarships and training opportunities.

• We conduct annual employee giving campaigns with partner organizations, further amplifying the firm’s corporate financial support for programs that assist Iowans.

• With a generous amount of paid Volunteer Time Off each year, our employees can participate in planned group or individual volunteer opportunities of their choice.

• Along with Drake University Law School, our attorneys and staff conduct free legal clinics each fall to help individuals prepare for the future by creating powers of attorney, living wills, and simple will documents.
